Daily Adhkar for Protection Against Evil Eye & Jinn
In Islam, prevention is better than cure. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us a shield of daily supplications (Adhkar) to protect our souls, bodies, and homes from the evil eye (ayn), jealousy (hasad), and the whispers of shaytan.
Establishing these adhkar after Fajr (morning) and after Asr/Maghrib (evening) forms a spiritual fortress around you.
1. Recite Ayat-ul-Kursi (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255)
Frequency: Once in the morning, once in the evening, and after every obligatory prayer.
Benefit: The Prophet (PBUH) said that whoever recites it in the morning will be protected from Jinn until the evening, and whoever recites it in the evening will be protected until the morning. (Nasai)
2. Recite the Last Three Surahs (Mu'awwidhatayn)
Verses: Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, Surah An-Nas.
Frequency: 3 times each in the morning and 3 times in the evening.
Benefit: The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Reciting them three times in the morning and evening will suffice you against everything." (Tirmidhi)
3. The Supplication of Protection
Transliteration: Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'as-mihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i, wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim.
Frequency: 3 times in the morning, 3 times in the evening.
Benefit: The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Whoever recites it three times in the morning and three times in the evening will not be harmed by anything." (Abu Dawood)
4. Seeking Refuge in Allah's Perfect Words
Arabic: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Transliteration: A'udhu bi-kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.
Frequency: 3 times in the evening (and when stopping to rest at any location).
Benefit: Safeguards from poisonous stings, insects, jinns, and sudden harms of the night. (Sahih Muslim)
5. Protection from Anxiety, Debts, and Laziness
Transliteration: Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.
Frequency: Once in the morning and once in the evening.
Benefit: Eases anxiety, removes grief, overcomes laziness, and grants relief from debts and oppression. (Sahih al-Bukhari)
Practical Tips for Consistency
- Use an App: Download reliable apps like Hisnul Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) to have these supplications handy on your phone.
- Set Alarms: Set a daily reminder after Fajr prayer and after Asr prayer.
- Involve Family: Recite them aloud with your children to teach them daily protection habits.
If you are suffering from severe ongoing spiritual disturbances that daily adhkar alone is not relieving, you may require a structured diagnostic session. Reach out to Qari Umair Bin Uzair on WhatsApp at +92 322 2014646.
